UPDATE 2/20/26, 2:45 p.m.:Individuals drawn to the appealing initial cost of the base AWD Cybertruck might want to move quickly. Inresponse to a post on XRegarding the new trim, Elon Musk stated, "Only for the next 10 days." Although Musk did not clarify if his statement refers solely to the $62,235 base price or to the overall availability of the trim level, we anticipate it pertains to the former.
Tesla's collection is always changing. Last year, Tesla added a new option to the Cybertruck's capabilities.entry-level rear-wheel-drive variant, only to end the model after six months. Now Tesla has established another base Cybertruck, but this time the most budget-friendly variant of the angular vehicle maintains all-wheel drive and a significant portion of the same performance at a considerably lower price.

The new version is named Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, with an initial price of $62,235, which is a significant $20,000 reduction compared to the current all-wheel-drive trim that now has the Premium label. The two electric motors continue to deliver 593 horsepower, and Tesla states that the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive model will accelerate to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and offer a range of 325 miles on a single charge, similar to other two-motor Cybertrucks. However, the towing capacity drops from 11,000 pounds to 7,500 pounds.
Although the performance remains largely the same, Tesla has removed certain features from the new base model in order to significantly reduce the price. The entry-level Cybertruck no longer includes air suspension, which is present on more expensive models, but it still features adaptive dampers. This new trim level is equipped with smaller 18-inch wheels, though buyers can still choose to upgrade to 20-inch wheels for an additional $2500, and this larger size does not negatively impact the range estimate.

Although the base Cybertruck still includes a motorized tonneau cover and three power outlets in the bed, it omits the two outlets found in the cabin, as well as the 9.4-inch rear passenger display. The seats are also covered in fabric rather than leatherette, and the front seats no longer offer ventilation. The audio system has seven speakers, compared to 15 in the Premium version, and this trim lacks active noise cancellation.
In addition to the new base AWD model, Tesla has also reduced the price of the top-of-the-line Cyberbeast to its previous level before Tesla raised it in August 2025. The tri-motor version now begins at $102,235, a drop of $15,000. As always with Tesla, we'll have to wait and see how long this revised lineup remains before the company changes its decision once more.
