Giannis Antetokounmpo: Ready to Return to the Court

Giannis Antetokounmpo claims he's prepared. The checklist is the sole obstacle.
The Bucks' star spoke on Saturday during the All-Star Weekend, stating that his right calf is completely recovered after keeping him out since January 23.
I feel great. I'm 100 percent fine, to be honest,Antetokounmpo saidOnce you return from an injury and go through the rehabilitation process, you need to complete the necessary steps, correct?
I feel as if the break isn't beneficial, since I now have to head to the court and play one-on-one, three-on-three, or five-on-five. Players are on vacation right now, so it's somewhat difficult to do that.
But after I check all those boxes, I'm ready to go. I feel as if I can play a game today.
Bucks coach Doc Rivers recently mentioned that Antetokounmpo is nearing a return, although the calf injury has remained a persistent problem. Giannis sat out eight games in December due to a right soleus strain, and then worsened the calf injury during a game against Denver on January 23, leading to an additional nine games missed.
Antetokounmpo has been selected for his 10th consecutive All-Star Game but will not participate on Sunday. De’Aaron Fox has been chosen as his substitute.
The lost time also has postseason implications. Antetokounmpo will be ineligible for significant awards, bringing an end to a streak of nine consecutive All-NBA selections, including seven first-team honors.
Milwaukee and its team's key player are set to resume long-term conversations during the off-season,after no deal materializedbefore the February 5 trade deadline.
