Fatal I-40 multi-vehicle crash shuts down traffic, TDOT reports

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WMC) - A fatal multi-vehicle collision has led to traffic closures on I-40.

At 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, police arrived at an accident involving two vehicles on I-40 westbound near Walkins Street.

The Memphis Police department has stated that two individuals were declared deceased on the spot.

Every lane on I-40 heading west is currently closed and will remain so until more information is available.
