Tributes Pour in for Co Armagh Fitness Influencer Who 'Transformed Many Lives'

A fitness influencer and coach hailing from Co Armagh will be recalled for "having transformed numerous lives" after passing away.

Geoff Gates, who operated his coaching enterprise in the Lurgan The individual passed away this week at the age of 47.

He provided individualized fitness coaching, encompassing his Limitless weight loss program, and in recent times had expanded his reach to broader audiences via influencer content on social media platforms.

The trainer posted pictures of his personal journey towards weight loss and improved wellness to motivate his clients, and he was quite renowned within the Co Armagh fitness circle.

He promoted his Limitless programme during the Covid lockdowns in 2020, encouraging people not to let the restrictions prevent them from reaching their fitness goals.

He promoted practices such as meditation and guided his clients through dietary changes. Additionally, he provided guidance in posts focused on conquering addictions.

Over the past few weeks, Mr Gates has been advocating for an imminent book through his social media channels. This publication stems from his Limitless program, which is billed as a "total transformation to reshape your physique, recalibrate your mental state, recover from adversity, and emerge as a formidable presence."

Maciek Borc, who operates BODYfit personal training in Lurgan, shared with the Irish News: "I initially crossed paths with Geoff more than ten years back when we both were at the same gym; he was working there while I was attending."

He truly supported me from the beginning, and he was an exceptionally nice guy.

I noticed how his impact expanded across social media platforms, and I've listened to numerous individuals speak highly of him and his accomplishments.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, he improved countless lives and will be deeply missed by many.”

Other individuals paying homage online include Lurgan-based musician Declan McKerr, who stated in a comment: "This guy would never walk past you on the street without striking up a conversation and was always keen to know how you were faring. God bless Geoff Gates."
