Plunge Down The Cheesegrater: A Heartfelt Charity Dare

The Abseil Challenge occurs every year on July 4th. This event encourages individuals who are generally healthy and at least 18 years old to abseil down one of the city's most recognizable structures, descending 215 meters to support The Lord Mayor’s Appeal. Participants do not require prior experience; a group of professionals will be available to guide them through the process.

Previous abseilers have included figures like City AM’s Lawson Muncaster, Lord Karan Bilimoria, along with several former Lord Mayors, making this event part of an esteemed tradition of fundraising activities. By contributing to The Appeal’s mission to Build A Greater City Where Everyone Thrives, these participants will not only support Londoners but also raise vital funds for two important causes: MQ Mental Health, which is the largest funder of mental health research in the UK, and Homewards, an organization committed to eradicating homelessness across Britain.

The registration fee for the event is only £35, but participants must secure a minimum sponsorship of £500.
