Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-265

All lanes heading east on I-265 between Dixie Highway and Stone Street are closed as a result of a deadly accident.

Louisville Metro Police stated they responded to I-265 following reports of a one-vehicle accident approximately at 6:15 p.m.

Initial findings indicate that a woman was operating a vehicle on I-265 when she lost control and entered the median, causing the car to roll over. The woman was not using a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was thrown from the vehicle.

She was declared deceased at the location by emergency medical services.

As per TRIMARC, the road is anticipated to remain closed until 11 p.m. on Saturday.
