Tesla cuts Cybertruck prices to boost pickup demand

If you've been interested in a Cybertruck but hesitated due to the high cost, Tesla has some positive updates: Today, the company revealed that it has enhanced its Cybertruck model for 2026 with more choices and reduced prices in an effort to increase its attractiveness in a struggling electric pickup truck market.

The core of the announcement is a new all-wheel-drive model that comes with a $62,235 price tag, reducing the cost by $10,000 compared to the current most affordable Long-Range version. At this price, the new base Cybertruck still includes dual motors, adaptive suspension, Powershare power ports, and a tonneau cover, which were not present in Tesla's previous rear-wheel-drive model introduced last year (and quickly discontinued) that was priced around $70,000. That version sold very poorly.

Tesla has also reduced the prices of its more expensive AWD and Cyberbeast models by approximately $15,000. The Cyberbeast package reportedly removed certain luxury features to stay below the $100,000 mark, particularly the upgraded Full Self-Driving (FSD) package. However, a lower price at the high-end could increase demand; 2025 annual sales fell by 19% compared to the previous year.

Every Cybertruck model retains its futuristic sharp stainless-steel exterior, spacious rear bed, built-in electrical sockets, and included ramp.

Current EPA range and performance data for the trims are still pending, but the delivery of the updated Cybertruck models is anticipated to increase throughout 2026 as Tesla increases production at its Texas Gigafactory.

Update! Musk shared on the social media platform X that the truck will be available only at the mentioned price for a period of ten days.
