Taylor Schilling Stars in 'What the Dead Know' NBC Pilot from Wolf Entertainment

Taylor Schilling has been chosen to star in NBC's crime drama pilot.What The Dead Know, produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, a subsidiary of Universal Studio Group.

Written by Beth Rinehart (FBI: Most Wanted), the project is based on Barbara Butcher's memoir, the former medical examiner of New York CityWhat the Dead Know.

What the Dead Knowrevolves around an exceptionally smart and highly alert death investigator named Ava Ledger (Schilling), who excels in working with deceased individuals. It's the living people that pose challenges for her. The show documents Ava's collaboration with the NYPD to tackle their most difficult cases.

Rinehart oversees the production with Wolf Entertainment's d**k Wolf, Tom Thayer, Peter Jankowski, and Anastasia Puglisi. Kevin Plunkett, Rebecca McGill, and Butcher also serve as co-executive producers.

Schilling, most recognized for her Emmy-shortlisted performance on Netflix’sThe Color of Hope, recently completed an arc on Season 2 of Rian Johnson's anthology series on PeacockPoker Face. She also appeared in an episode of Howard Gordon's Fox anthology series.Accused.
