Sky Zone Topeka Confirms No Threat or Injuries After Armed Incident

TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) - Sky Zone Topeka states there is no ongoing danger or injuries after an event with a person carrying a weapon.

Sky Zone Topeka officials verified that a person entered the facility, situated at 1801 SW Wanamaker Road, with a gun due to a personal issue concerning a threat against his son on February 21.

After the team learned about the situation, the staff guided the person out of the facility, and the park was put into lockdown. Police were notified right away.

Management stated that, at no point, was there anyone in the park other than the individual, and commended the staff for adhering to safety procedures to address the matter promptly, noting that mall security and the Topeka Police Department also helped in resolving the situation.
