Ram's 2026 Rebel X Returns with New Features and Hurricane Power

In 2025, Ram introduced the 1500 Rebel X special edition model.as a limited-edition, 10-year celebration of the Rebel trim. It appears that it was even more popular than Ram anticipated—so the once-limited model is now becoming a more lasting addition to the lineup, making a return in 2026.

The concept of the 2026 Ram 1500 Rebel X is to enhance both the off-road performance and the range of features found in the regular Rebel. For the off-road aspect, Ram introduces a "Rough Road Cruise Control" feature that is only available on the X model, designed to help keep a steady speed over challenging terrain; it functions through adaptive cruise control and adjustable steering effort at speeds up to 20 mph. This is in addition to the standard Rebel's off-road components, which include a 1.0-inch lift, Bilstein shocks, an electronic limited-slip differential, 33-inch all-terrain tires, underbody skid plates, and front tow hooks.

Ram adds numerous comfort features and enjoyment to the Rebel X as well. Additional equipment beyond the standard Rebel includes a panoramic sunroof, a console-mounted "performance" shift lever and paddle shifters, red accent stitching inside, a "Rebel X" center console emblem, and "Rebel X" side graphics. This feature won't be limited to the trim level, but the Rebel X also officially introduces a new paint color (shown here) named Tank Clear-Coat. Upon closer inspection, you'll see it's a dark green, which Ram states was inspired by a military tone.

In addition to the X-specific accessories, each Rebel X includes the complete Rebel Level 2 equipment package, which costs $2795. The sole powertrain option is the Hurricane 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine in Standard Output configuration, delivering 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque.

The initial cost of the X is $74,525, plus delivery. This means it is just slightly more than $10,000 pricier than a base 1500 Rebel—but naturally, it includes many features. If this seems appealing to you, Ram states that orders are currently available.
