Lunaz Reimagines DB6 with Electric Six-Cylinder Upgrade

Batteries are not included in the newest Aston Martin restomod fromLunaz, the British electromodder, who has transformed numerous classics into electric vehicles.

Alternatively, the company's new Aston DB6 restomod features a five-liter straight-six engine in place of the original four-liter Tadek Merak unit. The larger displacement and updated components raise the power output from 280 horsepower to 350, which is still lower than Lunaz's EV version, producing 380 horsepower.

Whether this represents a step backward or forward is not for us to decide, but the entire project, which happens to be Lunaz's 50th order, signifies a new "powertrain agnostic approach" for Lunaz.

We established Lunaz to protect, improve, and re-imagine the world's most iconic cars, ensuring they can be driven and appreciated for many years," says founder David Lorenz. "This DB, our 50th custom order and the first gasoline-powered project using our Formula One-based knowledge, marks a significant milestone.

It's not only the engine that has been revamped, as Lunaz's artisans have gently widened the wheel arches, incorporated gold trim, gold spoke wheels, and custom green paint. The interior features a combination of luxurious materials, such as silver switches, mother-of-pearl accents on the dashboard, alongside cashmere, suede, and leather.

Already included on the Lunaz list are theRange Rover Classic, Jaguar XK, Bentley Continental S2, and a variety ofRolls-Royces,which so far have all been electrified, but if this DB6 is any indication, future models may incorporate more conventional, oil-based engineering instead.
