James Marsters and Patricia Rahman End Marriage After Five Years

Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marstersis ending the chapter on the second marriage.

The separation between him and Patricia Jasmin Rahman is almost complete following a lengthy, five-year legal battle.

Legal documents obtained by TMZhave verified the separation between Marsters and Rahman.

The couple developed a written contract that addressed all aspects (division of assets, marital rights, and alimony) and then signed it. The only remaining step for the divorce to be completed is for a judge to approve the arrangement.

The papers conclude almost five years of separation, with Rahman firstfiling for divorcenot long after what would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.

The couple on the verge of divorce has a 23-year age difference and no children together, as indicated by the paperwork for a "dissolution of marriage without minor children."

Marsters and Rahman’s Relationship

Marsters and Rahman first encountered each other at a concert in Amsterdam. Discussing their meet-cute toPeopleIn 2006, Marsters revealed how near their relationship was to becoming a lost chance.

"I encountered her at the back of the stage and obtained her phone number, but afterward, the crew cleaned my jeans and discarded it," he stated.

I provided her with my phone number, but she wrote down one digit incorrectly. It took her six months to try all the different combinations.

After successfully reconnecting, the couple dated until May 2010, when Marsters proposed to her in Trier, Germany. Theymarriedunder a year later in Los Angeles in January 2011.

Marsters Previous Marriage

As noted earlier, this was not Marsters' first marriage. He had previously been married to Liane Davidson between 1989 and 1997.

The couple has a 27-year-old son named Sullivan and were married for eight years prior to their separation.
