Free Music Friday: Kylee Shipp's Track

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - This week's Free Music Friday highlights Kylee Shipp, a heartfelt singer and voice instructor whose music is inspired by her beliefs, life stories, and a deep passion for singing.

Shipp mentions that she has been singing since her earliest memories, attributing her love for music to her father's influence.

My father sang hymns in the car for about four hours nonstop," she said. "That's how I learned to harmonize and sing with my family.

She continued her education in music and started composing her own songs, inspired by strong voices such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey.

"The people who can truly evoke emotions and impress you with their vocal talent — I've always had a fondness for those kinds of performers," Shipp said.

Her rendition includes "Restore My Soul," an original track she composed during her college years, reflecting her personal battle with anxiety and the hope she discovers through her religious beliefs.

"This track reflects on God guiding me through tough moments and staying near me during those challenging times, serving as a steady source of hope in my life," she explained.

Shipp is available for local shows and can be found onSpotify and Apple Music. Individuals wishing to schedule her services may contact her through herInstagram or Facebook.
