While discussing her "overwhelmed college student skincare" routine in aVogue “Beauty Secrets” video, the 21-year-old openly discussed her challenges with acne along with some of her top makeup advice for achieving her iconic full lips and winged eyeliner.

"It's time to be honest. I had lip filler once. I think I got it when I was 18. I just felt it was too noticeable," she shared with her followers in a video without makeup. Although Martin mentioned that the cosmetic procedure was a one-time experience, she admitted she has attempted to achieve a similar yet more subtle look through makeup.

"Everyone seems to believe I have crazy lip filler. I just pout my lips a lot and use some lip liner," she explained, demonstrating her "lip filler optical illusion" by applying the liner "right above" her lips. "Once you know the natural shape of your lips, just go a little bit above it," she said, then finished with a plumping lip gloss. "You can see the lips are already looking fuller. Not from lip filler, thank you," Martin added.

The model—whose dad is Chris Martin—also spoke openly about her struggle with acne and how her perspective has evolved over the past few years in the no-makeup video. “I know I still have a few blemishes here and there, but it was really bad in high school,” she said, continuing, “I mean... my acne wasn't extremely severe, but it definitely had an impact on my confidence.”

Now I'm just kind of thinking, 'I'm human. What am I supposed to do? If I have a pimple, it's not the end of the world," Martin said, laughing as she touched her forehead, "The more you worry about it, the worse it'll probably get. All of this is stress.

The aspiring singer also gave her mom Gwyneth Paltrowand grandmother Blythe Danner, a heartfelt acknowledgment as two legendary women she admires, referring to them as "such, such beautiful ladies" in the video.
