Alan Carrhas spent £3.25 million on a castle in the Scottish Borders - echoing his successful Traitors victory.

The comedian, aged 49, experienced a revival in popularity last year following their win in the first season of Celebrity Traitors.

And clearly a fan of the famous Ardross Castle, where the show is filmed, Alan has now bought his own baroque home — which he intends to transform into a luxury hotel and spa.

Alan revealed to The Sunthat he has entered into a seven-digit agreement with Disney+ to produce a series showcasing the restoration of Ayton Castle.

The expansive property includes an impressive 16 bedrooms, 160 acres of landscaped grounds, and even a small-scale train system.

Alan remarked about the purchase: "Some men, during a midlife crisis, buy a Lamborghini or get a ponytail, but for me - I want my very own castle."

Ever since I was a child in Northampton, I've had grand dreams and have always been fascinated by the history and charm of a large estate.

As I reach the age of 50, I think it's time, all I desire is a turret of my own — help me get past that drawbridge.

The renovation series, which is temporarily titled Castle Man, will follow a format similar to his previous show with Amanda Holden.

The program is reportedly being developed by Expectation, the same company that handledClarkson's Farm.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Alan's representatives for their response.

And it might be arriving at the perfect moment, as it was disclosed last week that his and Amanda's hitBBCA home improvement show might be renewed this year following the success of his castle-themed renovation series.

The New Deal makes it improbable that Alan will have time to film his and Amanda's popular BBC series The Italian Job this year due to his busy schedule.

Additionally, the winner of Celebrity Traitors is said to have secured positions with two other streamers that will start this year, while his schedule is already full after completing most of 2027 with an extensive comedy tour.

A source revealed to the Daily Mail that there were also problems with the location for the renovation show, as Amanda and Alan were advocating forJapanWhile the BBC was interested in the more affordable and easier-to-reach Scandinavia.

The insider stated, "As time passed, both Amanda and Alan's journals began to include additional projects, making it increasingly difficult to secure enough filming time this year."

It seems the show will have a break this year as Amanda and Alan decide on a new location they both enjoy and can fit into their schedules for the extensive filming requirements. But it's coming back!

The Daily Mail has reached out to the BBC as well as Alan and Amanda's representatives for their response.

Amanda and Alan's popular home improvement show The Italian Job was previouslyrecognized as one of the most significant entertainment programs of the year upon its release.

The popularity of the beloved show soon led to a series of sequels, such as their highly acclaimed Spanish Job, Greek Job, and an Italian Job Christmas Special.

Their most recent project, Amanda & Alan's Greek Job, has become their most successful to date, attracting a remarkable four million viewers per episode.

An eight-episode BBC renovation program showcases close friends Amanda and Alan as they tackle a dilapidated home on the Greek island of Corfu.

Throughout the series, the pair face structural crises, design challenges, and bold home improvement projects while trying to turn the rundown house into a perfect retreat.

Word of the program possibly being put on hold for the year comes days after theDaily Mail reported that Alan is scheduled for another streaming venture - The F*** List on Amazon Prime Video.

As reported by The Sun's TVBiz section, he will accompany other comedians such as Jack Dee, Tom Allen, and Joanne McNally on a tour to try out some of the activities that people often recommend doing before passing away.

This four-part series will take them to Iceland and the Canary Islands, along with sites in England and Scotland.

The show is scheduled to debut on screens later this year.
