Stolen Car Crashes Near Orange Ave Exit on I-581N in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. ( WFXR – Virginia Highway Patrol ( VSP He arrived at the scene of an accident on Interstate 581 heading north close to the 4W Orange Avenue exit.

As per VSP, the accident took place on Thursday, July 31, at 3:10 a.m. There were two individuals inside the vehicle during the incident, who left the location following their retrieval of an unspecified object from the trunk.

Authorities stated that following the accident, an individual contacted authorities claiming the vehicle had been stolen, resulting in a search warrant being issued for the car.

VSP stated that DNA samples were obtained from the car in order to determine the identity of the driver and passenger involved in the theft.
