Football Preview: J.H. Rose Rampants

GREenville, NC (WITN) - Based on last season, there's always something exciting happening every Friday evening in Greenville during Rampants games.

Following five consecutive losses in 2024, they managed to qualify for the postseason, securing the final spot with a record of 2-8 during the regular season.

From that point, they amazed everyone by securing three playoff victories, each achieved away from home. However, although that journey remains memorable, they aim for a faster beginning this upcoming season, starting with their mindset.

I think we need to improve our emotional approach," senior quarterback Jimmy Martin stated, "There shouldn't be too much 'me, me, me' this season; it has to focus on the team rather than individual interests.

Joining him once again are four of his offensive linemen from last season. Clarence Gilliam , Sier Leavy , Ramere Johnson , & Jerome Williams ).

On defense, eight returning starters include the top tackler from 2024. Amare Washington , defensive end Martis Bradley , noseguard Domani Edwards , and cornerback Greg Ransome .

Their opening match takes place at Northern Nash during week 1 on August 22nd.
