We've watched every episode of the show carefully, paying close attention to the activities, and then attempted them at home with our children. Were they all as perfect as they were on TV? Not quite. But overall, did we enjoy ourselves? Definitely. Are Pomeranians a resilient breed? Precisely. 19. Shadowlands

From Bluey Season 1, Episode 5, This game works best in an open area on a sunny day with soft, puffy clouds floating above. Therefore, it's not something you do every single day. The children conceal themselves beneath the shade created by the sunlight, then dash, leap, and cry as they move toward the closest available shadow. If you touch any spot where the sun shines, you're eliminated. It's also a great method for using up your sunscreen supply.

18. Taxi

This game originates from Season 1, Episode 25, “Taxi.” Unpredictable destination, as your living room transforms into a taxi, with your child at the wheel. Arrange some seats and an improvised control panel, then hit the road! Be cautious of people walking, other vehicles, or any obstacles that might delay your timely arrival. Should they locate and activate it, you transform into a dance enthusiast—regardless of your location! For those working remotely, the challenges of maintaining productivity while dealing with children running around are all too familiar. Kids may choose to conduct interviews about careers they're interested in, making you their subordinate and giving orders. With careful handling, you could keep them occupied with their own assignments, allowing yourself brief moments of real work. Just make sure you don’t lose either of your positions!

9. Backpackers

In Bluey Episode 36 of Season 1 sees everyone catching the wanderlust spirit with "Backpackers." However, the twist is that no one is truly traveling anywhere! You can save for a getaway to trek through the Alps or the Appalachian Mountains and instead go hiking across Europe right from your house. The kids take charge, designing far-off destinations and directing your actions during this pretend adventure. Keep in mind—no matter how tempting it might seem, you're not a cartoon canine. If you haven't been lifting weights regularly, avoid carrying the kids on your back so you won't struggle later when trying to bend down. Instead, have them pack real backpacks filled with everyday household items that will serve as substitutes for genuine travel essentials. This one comes from Bluey Season 2, Episode 10, "Rug Island." Locate the largest rug or carpeted area in your house, bring over some potted plants or sofa pillows, and turn your living room into a remote island surrounded by water. Bluey and Bingo created all the items in their small beachside paradise using fabric pens, but feel free to use anything you want on the rug—pretend it's exactly what you need to stay alive. Creativity comes first, so step into a child's imagination and travel back to more innocent days where an island was simply a rug.

7. Feather wand

This comes from Bluey Season 2, Episode 2, "Feather Wand." Upon finding a feather on the ground, Bingo immediately recognized it as a magical staff. Every time she aimed it at an object or person, she would shout "Hefty!" causing it to instantly become extremely heavy! You can't truly say you've experienced life unless you've brushed your teeth using a broom handle. A lot of the enjoyment comes from when the items lose their enchantment, rapidly returning to their normal weight and flying toward your face right after the conflict ends.

A different version of this would be from the episode “Magic Asparagus” Where your child turns you into various animals by zapping you with a magical vegetable. Bluey uses asparagus, but a strong carrot or parsnip works just fine too. No leafy greens, unless you enjoy picking up bits of mystical broccoli from your kitchen floor.

This game comes from Bluey Episode 25 of Season 2, titled "Double Babysitter." This engaging activity is perfect for tiring out younger children; it’s most effective during nighttime when it's dimmer. In this game, your child takes on the role of a cat attempting to catch the "mouse," which is represented by the light from your flashlight or laser pointer. Bluey and Bingo were thrilled to enjoy this with their sitter, and it's sure to be loved by your own small felines as well.

5. Pet Feet

Not all games on this list will have parents working up a sweat. I'm giving you a break here. This one comes from Bluey Season 2, Episode 8, "Daddy Dropoff." It's a game you can effortlessly enjoy lying on your back in bed, as your children frolic around your energetic feet. Anything beneath your knees transforms into the creature of your choice, and your kids can interact with and look after them. Once you're done playing, simply tell them about how smelly your feet are, which should be sufficient to make them run away.

As the day ends and everyone starts relaxing, Favorite Thing offers an excellent method to engage with your children during meals without getting them excited again. This idea comes from Bluey Season 2, Episode 7, "Favorite Thing." This title originates from a timeless favorite. Bluey Episode: Season 1, Episode 8, "Fruit Bat." It's common to read a storybook to your children before bed to aid in falling asleep, yet it's less usual for you to end up dozing off while narrating their tale. No matter how much effort you put into staying alert, particularly during thrilling moments, you find yourself struggling to keep your eyelids from closing. Your children may attempt to rouse you, but they'll soon realize how difficult it is to remain conscious! The choice between completing the book or collapsing onto their pillow for an impromptu snooze lies entirely with you.

2. Octopus

This comes from Bluey Season 2, Episode 46, "Octopus." Chloe the Dalmatian picked up this activity from Bluey, who told her that Dad is the octopus hiding under their sofa, while the children act as fish attempting to take his loot. The octopus attempts to prevent them using his arms, swiping at the fish and capturing them in his sticky pads. It’s straightforward and simple to enjoy.

The challenge arises when Chloe takes the game back to her house to play with her father, and it doesn't feel the same. Each time someone proposes an idea, the other feels as though their suggestions are being turned down. Rather than outright refusing the other person, They choose to agree They opt to accept They go ahead with a positive response They make the decision to consent They resolve to approve They take the step of agreeing They come to the conclusion of acceptance They elect to say affirmative They settle on giving their approval every aspect and redesign the game to match their playing style.

Chloe and her father discovered that in games, there are no strict guidelines. Spending time playing with children is similar to improvisational theater. The most effective approach is "yes, and" because refusing stops everything cold. Although certain limits should remain intact, allow your creativity to stretch as much as possible to ensure playtime becomes a genuinely fun activity for all participants.

The original game that began everything! From Bluey Season 1, Episode 3, This game is must-have. Inflate a balloon, pass it to your little ones, and watch the fun unfold. The game keeps going as long as the balloon doesn’t touch the floor or burst. If it lands, send it back into the air and restart.
