Prius Driver Killed in Deadly Collision Near Bowlus

A collision between two vehicles occurred, followed by an impact with a utility pole, resulting in one fatality in Morrison County on July 11.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene just before 12:30 p.m. on July 11 near the corner of 120th Avenue and 30th Street in Two Rivers Township, located south of Bowlus.

After the crash, the sheriff's department reported that the vehicles flipped over and came to rest in the roadside ditch. A telephone pole was struck and sustained damage, prompting Minnesota Power to begin fixing the electrical infrastructure.

The Bowlus Fire Department rescued a driver from their Toyota Prius. The individual passed away even after receiving medical care, as reported by the Morrison County Sheriff's Office.

The occupant of the other car, which was a Ford F-450, received treatment on site and was subsequently discharged by medical personnel, according to officials.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office received assistance from the Bowlus First Response Team, Bowlus Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Minnesota State Patrol, and Minnesota Power during the incident response.

Morrison County experienced 14 collisions during July 2025, whereas Stearns County reported 52 incidents, based on data from the State of Minnesota.

As of the early hours of July 14, the Morrison County Sheriff's Office had not disclosed the names, ages, or places of origin of those involved.
