Mumford & Sons Bring Lainey Wilson to Star-Studded Show on August 3

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - When the British folk rock band Mumford & Sons arrive in New Orleans on August 3rd as part of their Railroad Revival Tour, there will be several modifications.

In addition to moving the event from Woldenberg Park to Champions Square, the impressive cast of performers now includes Nashville-based music sensation Lainey Wilson as the night's "special guest."

Notable guests confirmed for appearances are: Nathaniel Rateliff, Trombone Shorty, Madison Cunningham, Lucius, Chris Thile, Celisse, Leif Vollebekk, Ketch Secor, along with others.

Wilson, originally from Baskin, Louisiana, received the title of 2023 CMA Entertainer of the Year and was once more considered for the highest honor in 2024. In the previous year, she secured her initial Grammy win in the Best Country Album category for "Bell Bottom Country."

Mumford & Sons originated in London, England, in 2007 with musicians Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane, Ben Lovett, and Winston Marshall who play multiple instruments. The group has produced five studio records and embarked on six global tour experiences.

The group has received and secured numerous accolades throughout their career, such as two Grammy Awards.
