Lamborghini Temerario GT3 Revealed: Built for Victory
- The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 has arrived to take over from the Huracán GT3 Evo 2 as the company's official GT3 program.
- The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 marks the debut of a racing vehicle fully conceived and created by the company at its Sant'Agata Bolognese factory.
- In accordance with GT3 rules, the Temerario GT3 vehicle will include an adapted form of the identical twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine found in the standard model.
Every positive development eventually reaches its conclusion, which includes the continuation of factory backing for officially approved racing vehicles. Just as the Lamborghini Temerario takes over from the Huracán on regular roads, the Temerario GT3 assumes the role previously held by the Huracán GT3 Evo as Lamborghini's supported GT3 model.
Once it formally assumes racing responsibilities, the Temerario GT3 will inherit the role previously held by the Huracán GT3 Evo 2, which was approved starting in 2022. This model succeeded the Huracán GT3 and Huracán GT3 Evo, both of which received approval in 2015.

Similar to all GT3 vehicles, the frame was taken directly from the manufacturing assembly line and modified for competition by eliminating everything that is not necessary. This involves streamlining the front and rear subframes to allow for fast detachment and installation during races. A significant aspect of this process involved taking out the electric motors found in the standard model, since they do not meet GT3 rules.
The exterior panels are, as expected, constructed completely from carbon fiber to minimize the vehicle's overall weight. Lamborghini states that the design of the bodywork emerged from cooperation between the aerodynamics group within Squadra Corse and the designers at Lamborghini Centro Stile. Similar to numerous racing vehicles, the main task for Lamborghini was to ensure the race car clearly represents the Temerario model, all while providing space for the larger cooling components.

According to the GT3 regulations, the Temerario draws its power from the identical twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine found in the standard model, but the competition variant features updated, compact turbochargers. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission used in the street version has been replaced with a six-speed transverse gearbox for the racing edition. By eliminating the hybrid system and adhering to the balance of performance guidelines, the race car produces significantly lower output compared to the road-going version (550 horsepower vs. over 900).

Lamborghini states that the powertrain for the production version was conceived with motorsport compatibility as a key focus right from the initial design stage. Indeed, the Italian manufacturer claims that the Temerario GT3 is the first racing vehicle fully created and engineered by the company within its premises in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
