Franklin County Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Crash
A man was identified by the Franklin County Coroner's Office following an incident where he was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist.
On June 27th around 10 p.m., Augustin Sanchez, aged 46, passed away following an accident. near West Broad Street and Lechner Avenue He was walking across the street when Nathan Downard, 27, rode his motorcycle eastward down West Broad Street.

A toxicity analysis showed that Sanchez had fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine in his system. His passing was classified as an accidental occurrence.
Downard tried to dodge Sanchez but still hit him, as stated in a collision report. Downard and his motorcycle ended up in the opposing traffic lane, where an eastbound Ford Focus collided with him.
Emergency responders transported Downard to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he was declared deceased due to his wounds.
According to the medical examiner's findings, Sanchez was residing on the streets of Columbus.
