A radiant start: Pocatello's Neon Fest ignites downtown
POCATELLO - A lovely summer night provided the backdrop for the first-ever Neon Fest in historic downtown Pocatello on Saturday. Hosted by Randy Dixon and the Relight the Night Committee, the gathering attracted many attendees who came to partake in the celebrations.
Popular local artists Eaton and Sanders, who have been prominent figures in the Pocatello music community for almost 20 years, came back together on stage for the first time since 2018.

The standout moment occurred when the renovated Idaho Motel sign was turned on for the first time at its new location at LookPoint, becoming the 22nd sign following the Chief Theater sign, which initiated the project back in 2013.
Prior to initiating the countdown and activating the switch, Dixon—known for his work in restoring vintage neon signs—announced Pocatello as the "Neon Capital of Idaho."

When night fell, groups of people came together on the lawn to view the film "Cars" beneath the sky, marking the end of an evening filled with enjoyment and a sense of unity.
