Jesy Nelson Unveils Big News After Twin Birth: Entering a New Chapter

The twin daughters of new mother and ex-Little Mix member Jesy Nelson are set to appear in a forthcoming six-episode documentary series chronicling her pregnancy experience and what she describes as a "fresh start" in her life.

The upcoming series scheduled for release on Amazon Prime will offer viewers an inside view of Jesy’s difficult journey through pregnancy, highlighting both the peaks and troughs she experienced. It also welcomes audiences to meet her twin children—Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. In an official announcement from Amazon, Jesy was revealed as part of this project; she later posted about it on social media platforms herself. The arrival of these twins provided significant comfort to Jesy alongside her spouse Zion Foster.

The Romford artist Jesy stated, "I am incredibly thrilled and proud to be able to share that we've been recording our show for Amazon! We had discussions with Creative Director Demi Doyle and Producer Gavin Evans at Navybee, and allowing the camera crew into this very private period was not straightforward for us. However, I felt strongly about sharing my journey exactly how I want to."

"I've thrown the doors wide open, and I can hardly wait for each of you to come aboard as I embark on my adventure into motherhood with our precious daughters, Ocean and Story. To be frank, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing due to the complexities of this high-risk pregnancy. You’ll witness every peak, trough, and whirlwind of emotion along the way. Prime has revealed that she will unveil "her truth like never before" in upcoming content, which will include "regular hospital visits and honest discussions," along with highlighting the unwavering backing from her loved ones.

The documentary doesn’t just concentrate on her path as a mother; she also plans to uncover the significant hurdles she encountered following her departure from Little Mix in 2020. This includes tackling the unrelenting stress of being famous, battling mental health issues, and dealing with ensuing scandals. As she embarks on this fresh chapter alongside Zion and their newborns, the show aims to offer an inside view of her transformation.

Jesy and her partner Zion have been at a London hospital for the last couple of months, where doctors planned to induce labor at 32 weeks. However, the twins arrived prematurely at 31 weeks and five days. Jesy took to Instagram to say, "Everything happened very fast, but we feel incredibly fortunate that they are safely with us and doing well. They're really putting up a good fight. This experience has only deepened our bond."

The ex-member of Little Mix had to undergo urgent medical intervention in April because of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome – a rare condition that might have been fatal for one or both infants. Fortunately, the procedure was successful; however, it led to an elongated hospitalization period for Jesy and Zion up until they welcomed their twins into the world.

Just prior to the twins arriving, Zion conveyed his thanks to the Mirror, stating: "We are incredibly thankful since Jesy and the twins have been through so much. During this pregnancy, there were numerous moments when we doubted we would reach this point."

The Prime documentary crew has filmed personal scenes of Jesy at the hospital during her pregnancy, recording the intense moments as she and her partner Zion confronted the possibility of losing their twins. This poignant narrative will trace their move towards becoming parents, with plans to continue shooting shortly to document their initial days as mothers and fathers to their newborns.

The Creative Director and Executive Producer at Navybee, Demi Doyle, shared her thoughts about the project: “Right from our first meeting, Jesy embraced us into her world with tremendous sincerity and warmth. Deciding to let the cameras capture this sensitive and transformative period was not straightforward, yet she opted to share her experiences in a remarkably courageous and exquisite manner.”

She went on to explain that with Zion beside her, Jesy allowed the team to see all aspects of their collective journey: “By her amazing partner Zion’s side, we’ve witnessed each unfiltered feeling, every peak and valley, along with the intimate instances that define this fresh phase of her life. This isn’t merely about becoming a parent; it’s an intense, emotionally charged progression and Jesy’s opportunity to narrate her own tale at last. Sharing in this voyage is genuinely extraordinary, and we’re incredibly honoured to take part.”

Hannah Blyth of Prime Video UK shared her excitement about the forthcoming documentary, "Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix," scheduled to premiere on their platform. She stated, “It’s wonderful to collaborate with the gifted Demi Doyle along with the excellent crew at Navybee to present Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix on Prime Video. This series promises an insightful glimpse into Jesy’s path—a compelling narrative previously untold—and we’re deeply thankful to Jesy for allowing us behind-the-scenes access throughout this significant period in her life as she takes on motherhood and revisits moments outside what has made news.”

We believe that our Prime Video viewers will be profoundly touched by her candour and resilience as she discovers fresh insight and shares her authentic voice in this upcoming phase of her journey.

In 2011, Jesy gained widespread fame after appearing on ITV's The X Factor. She stayed part of Little Mix until leaving the group in 2020. As of November 2022, she has been dating Zion from South London. Following their decision to speak publicly about challenges related to their twin children, they've received an outpouring of backing from people.

Zion mentioned earlier that Jesy frequently read those messages throughout her pregnancy, which provided her with significant comfort. He stated, "The amount of support has truly been remarkable. Absolutely incredible. And I must give enormous, enormous, enormous credit to Jesy, as sharing something like this can be incredibly tough."

But Jess showed the bravery to state: 'You know what? I am determined to share this story with everyone. I wish to open up to others. I desire for individuals to understand that it’s not merely about showcasing positive times. My aim is for folks to grasp the truth.’ And simply witnessing the feedback, the backing from many, and the sheer volume of messages pouring in every day.

"After the surgery, Jess was still recuperating, and we remained silent for some time. People started enquiring, ‘Is everything alright?’ It has truly been heartwarming, and although I’m not sure if ‘inspirational’ captures it perfectly, it certainly keeps us motivated.”
