Black "Mummy Duck" Uniform?
Although the Ducks are recognized for launching limited edition sneaker designs to raise money for the university's sports program, the release of a black "Mummy Duck" colorway might suggest a different version of the well-known uniform for the next season.
It's well-known that the "Mummy Duck" accents on the "Warp Speed" uniform are the white version of the widely popular all-black "Fly Eras," which was first introduced as part of the "Generation O" collection for the 2024-2025 season.
Because "Mummy Duck" is a design that relies on accessories for the "Warp Speed" outfit, incorporating black bandage arm and leg covers, gloves, a face warmer, and cleats into the "Fly Era" is a simple method to keep the nationwide excitement going that the white version started.
Although the Ducks are familiar with creating horror-themed variations of their famous mascot (such as the pirate skull Duck from the 2010s, which was a partnership with Disney for Oregon merchandise around the time the first Pirates of the Caribbean film came out), it seems the "Mummy Duck" is the most successful spooky creation for a team recognized for its creative uniform designs.
