Miss J Alexander's Friends Launch GoFundMe for Medical Costs

Friends of J. Alexander Aim to Raise $100K

Steven Grossmanis listed as the originator of theGoFundMepage. The objective is to collect $100k. "We are hoping to obtain full-time, 24/7 care and assistance with the continuous regular physical, speech, and occupational therapies," the fundraiser's description states. "He is currently restricted to a wheelchair due to what we hope is only temporary paralysis, and his right arm remains inactive."

A 67-year-old former judge was unable to walk during the filming of the documentary. Manuel, Alexander, andNigel Jones appeared on Sherri Shepherd's talk showon February 19. Miss J. mentionedAngela Bassett, Alfre Woodward, Niecy Nash, and George Lopezwent to see him at the hospital.

However, Tyra Banks didn't, she was also charged with being harsh to the contestants on the reality television program. Manuel stated he wasbest friendsUntil he decided to leave the show, he was with the supermodel. He was eventually let go, and Banks ceased communication with him. Banks did not discuss their disagreement in the documentary.

Manuel stated that Banks "recently" contacted Miss J. during the television program. Miss J. explained that Banks reached out following the stroke, but was disappointed that the interaction did not progress further.
