Miracle Supplement Recalled Nationwide Due to Death and Diarrhea Risks

A dietary product referred to as coming from a "miracle tree" by a nutrition expert has been recalled due to potential contamination withSalmonella, which may result in death for those who are more susceptible.

Ambrosia Brands LLC voluntarily recallednumerous Rosabella Moringa Capsules products were available on Friday.

Seven Salmonella cases, leading to three hospitalizations, have been reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which suggest a possible connection to Rosabella Moringa Capsules.

Salmonella can lead to severe and occasionally deadly infections in young children, the elderly, or individuals with compromised immune systems, according to the FDA. Meanwhile, healthy individuals may experience fever, diarrhea (which might be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps.

The impacted Rosabella moringa powder capsules came in white plastic bottles featuring a green label, span numerous lot numbers with expiration dates of 2027, and were available for purchase on the company's website and TikTok Shop.

All the affected lots have an SKU number beginning with 1356 and conclude with a -1 or -2 following the lot code, Ambrosia Brands LLC stated.

However, the company also cautioned that it is aware of "unauthorized third-party distribution to consumers via ebay.com, Shein, or other websites" and advised individuals to verify their lot numbers regardless of where they made the purchase.

"Consumers who have bought the lots mentioned are instructed to discard them right away, and are advised not to consume, sell, or serve the item," the company stated.

Moringa has been utilized in traditional medicine for thousands of years., and the moringa tree is rich in almost 30 vitamins and over 40 antioxidants, along with minerals and various phytonutrients. It originates from Northern India and East Africa.
