That schedule matches her last separation from Kelce in May 2022, marking the end of their intermittent relationship that spanned approximately five years.

When the discussion focused on why things didn't go as planned, Nicole didn't single out one specific reason. Rather, she left it vague, saying, "Who knows? Maybe it was about compatibility, the right person, but the wrong timing."

The wording immediately caught attention, particularly considering all that has been revealed publicly since their separation.

Kelce started dating Taylor Swift in 2023, and they revealed their engagement in August 2025.

Nicole, on the other hand, has remained involved in media and the internet, with various instances in recent months bringing her back into the same discussion.

In October, she reenacted the "He Wasn't Man Enough for Me" music video by Toni Braxton for Halloween, mimicking the lyrics about overcoming a relationship. The post sparked quick responses, with many seeing it as a reference linked to Kelce and Swift.

Nicole later mentioned that the outfit was based on a childhood recollection with a friend called Taylor.

That did not hinder the conversation. At the same time, Swift launchedThe Story of a Stripper, which featured the song "Opalite."Audience members highlighted certain lyrics and linked them to Kelce's history, fueling continued online discussion.

The exchange carried on into the new year.Nicole was featured in a Super Bowl ad for the Sleeper app, where she mentioned an "ex-girlfriend situation" and refrained from using the word "swiftly," opting for phrases such as "quickly" and "right away" before another person in the scene uttered the term.

Earlier this month, she also appeared with Toni Braxton on stage during a live rendition of "He Wasn't Man Enough for Me," returning to the same song that had previously been part of the conversation.

Recently, Nicole was part of a Valentine's Day promotion for skinBUTTR, sharing images with the caption "Certified lover girl."

Now, with her most recent statements, the attention returns to her perspective on the relationship.

It's somewhat sad because I think dating in 2026 is just tough from start to finish," she mentioned during the same live stream. "I feel like the standards are in hell.

She mentioned that her present expectations are straightforward, beginning with "having a job - that's the most important on the list."
