Nicole addressed the posts in an extended Instagram Stories message, describing her earlier statements as "ignorant, hurtful, and entirely incorrect."
I'd like to take a moment to genuinely apologize for the harmful tweets I shared years ago," she wrote. "It's been very challenging to see them come back last week, and when I read them again, I feel embarrassed that I ever held or expressed those views. They were foolish, damaging, and entirely incorrect.
The woman I have become would never use such language or hold those opinions," Nicole said. "As time has passed, I've witnessed the harsh and damaging nature of online hatred, and I would never wish to contribute to that realm of suffering in any way.
Nicole mentioned that she has since removed her X account, stating, "I refuse to keep that energy going or fuel a cycle of hatred."
Nicole stated that she takes complete accountability for any suffering or damage her previous actions might have led to.
"My heart, principles, and viewpoint are entirely based on empathy, affection, and regard for others. I can't alter the past, but I will keep demonstrating through my behavior who I have developed into and what I represent now," she wrote.
