I knew a girl who had stopped smoking, and I called her and asked, 'How did you manage it?' She replied, 'I'll give you the number of this woman,'" he remembered. "I met with her, and I had to bring a picture of my kids and my wife. I sat on her recliner, and she put headphones on me, playing spa-like music. She said, 'I'm going to count to ten. Ten, nine, eight…' And I fell asleep.
When he initially regained consciousness, the "Stand by MeStar remembered thinking 'that was nonsense' and that he couldn't believe 'I just gave an elderly woman $800' for it, calling it 'a waste of money.'
He mentioned, nevertheless, that upon returning to his car, he placed a cigarette in his mouth but "was unable to light it."

He said, "There are kids involved. Teenage kids who read everything online. So you don't want to really encourage that."
