Jennifer Lawrence's SNL Regret Has Nothing to Do With Her Illness

The actress stated that she turned the job into "everyone else's responsibility."

Jennifer Lawrencewants a second chance as host onSaturday Night Live, and it's not solely due to her having walking pneumonia during the performance.

Lawrence, who hosted SNLOn January 19, 2013, she was recognized for her unique and approachable demeanor as she rose to fame. The burden of meeting others' expectations was significant while she was working onThe Hunger Games: Catching Fireand doing press for Silver Linings Playbookthen. She confessed toAmy Poehlerthat she felt "extremely exhausted" due to all the commotion.

"I would have to fly, go to a party, shake hands, and then land and, you know, shoot. Like, poor me," she said sarcastically.Good Hang podcast.

When she eventually arrived atSNL,She remembered being overly casual. At 22, Lawrence mentioned that it was a "poor age" for the hosting role. Now, she's hoping for another opportunity to prove herself on the show.

You get asked, like, 'Can you do any impressions or anything?' And I was like, 'No,'" Lawrence said, pretending to be really uninterested. "Like, I don't want to be like, 'And I can do this and I can do that.' I just kind of made everything like everybody else's problem. I was like, 'I don't know how to do that. I can't do that.'

Although Poehler had already departed from the show by this point, she was concentrating onParks and Recreation,she agreed that it was challenging for young individuals to continue onwardSNLShe inquired of Lawrence whether she would be keen on taking on additional comedy projects at this time.

The Die My LoveActress shared that she has authored a script for a comedy film that she aims to direct and act in. Lawrence recently appeared in the 2023 romantic comedy.No Hard Feelings but has otherwise appeared in few humorous roles.
