Dead, five injured in crash on Jordan Lane

HUNTVILLE, Alabama (WHNT) — Authorities from HEMSI report that one individual has lost their life and multiple others have been hurt following an accident on Jordan Lane.

HEMSI Spokesperson Don Webster stated that a woman lost her life in the accident, with five others transported to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services. Webster mentioned that one of the five individuals is in critical condition, while the remaining four are still undergoing assessment.

The Huntsville Police Department stated that two of the four individuals sustained severe injuries, while the other two were treated for what officers described as minor injuries.

Webster reported that the accident occurred at the intersection of Alabama Highway 53/Jordan Lane and Grizzard Road approximately at 7:31 p.m.

HPD reported that the intersection was closed starting at 7:40 p.m. because of an accident in the vicinity.

The department reported that two vehicles were involved in the accident. Officials stated that initial observations at the scene indicate one vehicle was attempting to turn left on Grizzard Road and did not give way to a vehicle moving north on Jordan, resulting in the collision.
