ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A vehicle traveling at high speed crashed into two backyards, a swimming pool, and a porch in Clifton Springs on Friday, resulting in injuries to two individuals and significant property damage, according to Ontario County deputies.

Law enforcement arrived approximately 4 p.m. at the junction of State Route 488 and Waddell Road, where the vehicle was unable to navigate the turn on the slick road surface. The driver of the car lost control, exited the road at a fast speed, and crashed through several properties.

The accident also caused damage to multiple buildings, such as home porches and a swimming pool, before the car stopped. Both the driver and his passenger were hurt. One was taken by Mercy Flight and the other by ambulance for additional care. Their health statuses were not disclosed.

Teams from various emergency response organizations all arrived to provide assistance at the location. The sheriff's department stated that the inquiry is still in progress, and no fines have been given out.
