Steelers Move Training Camp Start Time to Thursday

The Pittsburgh Steelers have updated their Thursday training camp workout plan.

The practice session will begin at 10 a.m., with the entrance doors opening at 8:30 a.m.

Long before sunrise, fans were prepared for the early morning Steelers training session. Fan David Berkley arrived at the field at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and even spent the night sleeping in his car.

"I purchased something known as a human dog bed. It's the most comfortable item I've ever come across," he stated.

Rain expected in the weather report is thought to be the cause of the rescheduling. Normally, practice starts at 1:55 p.m. The team has experienced rainfall throughout this training camp.

"The rainfall has been problematic. It appears to be raining less in the mornings as well. So far, we've had three afternoon sessions canceled due to rain," said Mike Woinsky, who has attended every practice this season.

Viewers of Pittsburgh's Action News 4 say they favor the earlier broadcast schedule.

"I somewhat prefer the earlier start time since it tends to be slightly cooler. It isn't as warm, but Tomlin enjoys having them work in the heat," Woinsky stated.

"I like mornings since things wrap up sooner, but the later sessions are preferable because you get to watch them struggle," Berkley mentioned.

Attendees must still have a mobile ticket to enter the camp.
