Officials: Welding Tank Caused Russell Truck Bed Fire

RUSSELL, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Firefighters arrived at Route 23 in Russell on Wednesday afternoon, close to the Blandford border, after receiving calls about a fire in a truck bed.

Law enforcement stated that the truck was traveling eastward at the time of the first report. It was later discovered on Blandford Road, where firefighters managed to extinguish the flames.

Law enforcement concluded that the sedimentation welding tank located in the truck bed was responsible for the fire.
