Lane Closure on Old Airport Road: July 31 and August 1 for Paving Project

New Bern city officials have announced that one lane of Old Airport Road will be shut down on July 31 and August 1 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

This shutdown runs from Taberna Way heading north toward Sellhorn Blvd (southbound traffic will continue to flow). Drivers should take Taberna Way to reach Hwy 70, then use directional signs from Hwy 70 onto W. Grantham Road to get to the southern part of Old Airport Road. According to the City of New Bern, Public Works will be grinding and resurfacing Old Airport Road near Taberna Way as part of an intersection enhancement initiative.
