An automobile manufacturer received the top rating among U.S.-based brands in the 2025 J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Survey and ranked second within mainstream brands behind Mini. This research focuses more on the feelings and enthusiasm experienced by vehicle owners after owning the car for 90 days rather than on reliability.
Mini achieved a score of 876 out of 1000, with Dodge scoring 868, followed by GMC in third place with 852. In this category, the average score was 840. Ram, Chevrolet, and Buick were also American brands that exceeded the average.

Abraham Lincoln held the position of the leading American luxury brand with an index rating of 870, yet this fell short of the class's average score of 881. Rivian and Tesla scored 896 and 892 respectively, yet they were not included in the official list due to their failure to supply all the information required by other car manufacturers.
