Why July 14th Shaped Rock History

Today is July 14th, and below are several reasons why this date holds significance in rock music history:

In 2008, Guns N’ Roses declared that their latest track "Shackler's Revenge" will make its premiere on the Rock Band 2 video game.

In 1967, The Who started their initial U.S. tour, performing as an opener for Herman’s Hermits .

In 1982, the Alan Parker -directed film Pink Floyd’s The Wall premiered in London. It later reached third place at the box office in the United States and generated $22 million prior to its closure in 1983.

In 2012, Paul McCartney joined Bruce Springsteen For the final performance of his concert at London's Hyde Park, only for the location to shut down the significant partnership because of a nighttime restriction. Although the two were able to perform "I Saw Her Standing There" together, the audio system failed during their shared rendition of "Twist and Shout."

And in 2010, Bono stated that he was completely healed following urgent spinal surgery performed two months prior.

That's how things unfolded today in the annals of rock music.
