The incident occurred over the weekend when Nicholas, a 15-year-old fan, was injured after attempting to leap onto the stage during a performance by Destroy Lonely. According to the Romanian media outlet Adevărul, the teenager used his mobile device to request approval to join the artist onstage. The rapper appeared to grant consent, allowing Nicholas to step onto the platform. However, what transpired afterward has sparked confusion and concern among attendees and organizers of the event.

A fan claims the rapper urged him to go back into the crowd rather than exit the stage. Nicholas mentions that he expressed hesitation and said he did not wish to jump. He further asserts that the rapper pulled his hoodie to force him to leap. The attempt failed, causing Nicholas to land directly against a metal railing, falling short of reaching the audience.

"He kept insisting I jump, so I stepped back and made it clear that I wasn’t willing to do it," Nicolas claimed. "At one point, he pulled my hoodie and continued to push me. When I fell, I believed I was going to die. I couldn't breathe anymore; I had lost all my breath. And I don't know... I felt like if I didn't receive assistance right then, those would be my final moments.

Nicholas suffered multiple injuries from the fall, such as a fractured rib, liver injury, and issues with his kidneys. He is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Constanța County Hospital, where medical staff anticipate he will remain for several weeks.

A teenager described the incident as terrifying, stating he believed he was going to die due to the collision and difficulty breathing. His mother has expressed her concern and mentioned she intends to file an official complaint regarding the event. Following this, the organizers of the Beach, Please! festival commented on how Destroy Lonely behaved during his performance.
