Neil Diamond unexpectedly showed up at Saturday's show of "A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical" held at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, seven years following his announcement about being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and stepping away from tour performances.

In an Instagram clip, the star of the musical, "American Idol" champion Nick Fradiani, presented Diamond, 84, who gave an unexpected rendition of his classic song "Sweet Caroline" from the crowd.

A musical legend, wearing a baseball hat and a long-sleeve top, was encircled by fans who sang along with him and the band to the timeless track from 1969.

By the conclusion of the show, Diamond expressed his gratitude to the audience, which responded with enthusiastic applause and loud shouts of support.

"A memory we'll always cherish. #abeautifulnoise," the show's Instagram account wrote as a caption for the video featuring Diamond.

Fans commended the Grammy Award recipient for his energetic stage presence in the comments section.

Fradiani, 39, also posted footage During Diamond's trip to the event, photos were taken of them standing behind the scenes.

I had imagined this day for more than two years," the singer wrote. "The moment when Neil Diamond would witness this performance." It seems like a common expression, but I can't find the right words to explain how it felt playing a musical legend while he was sitting in the crowd.

But more than anything, I felt proud and complete," Fradiani added. "He's an amazing person, a remarkable musician, and he has influenced so many of us. I had the chance to let him know how much he's impacted my life.

"A Beautiful Noise" is presently touring at the Pantages Theatre until July 27. It initially premiered on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theater in December 2022 and concluded its run in June 2024.
