Local Realtors Host Pet Portrait Event to Support Animal Shelter

A nearby real estate team organized an activity where families could have photos taken with their animals, simultaneously supporting a neighborhood rescue center.
River Point Realty organized the gathering at The Dog Penn located in the Strip District between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Sunday.
River Point Realty organizes complimentary gatherings several times annually as a way of contributing to the local area.
"We enjoy organizing events, two or three times annually, which are entirely free for residents of Pittsburgh," explained Andrea Henderson, marketing director at River Point Realty.
Previously, they provided complimentary photographs for families. This was when individuals started suggesting the concept of organizing a comparable gathering, but featuring animals instead.
"Last time, we did family photos, and there was significant interest in pets, so we chose to collaborate with the Dog Penn to offer pet portraits, since we understand that not everyone has kids, and many view their pets as their own children," explained Henderson.
The Dog Penn, located at 2614 Penn Avenue, is an establishment that functions as a dog park, a bar, and a restaurant. organizers mentioned it was ideal for hosting the event.
"This is an extraordinary location since there aren't many spots in Pittsburgh where you can enjoy drinks, eat, have a good time, and bring your dog along, making it very enjoyable," said Bob Stienstraw, a partner at River Point Realty.
