Lee's Approval Hits 64.6% in New Poll

According to a poll released on Monday, President Lee Jae Myung's popularity increased again this week, reaching 64.6 percent after five weeks of growth.

As per a poll conducted by Realmeter and funded by a regional media source, the favorable view of Lee's work increased by 2.5 percentage points compared to the prior week, whereas the unfavorable opinion decreased by 1.4 percentage points to reach 30 percent.

The surveyor noted that Lee's popularity has kept increasing for the fifth consecutive week following his inauguration on June 4.

The poll took place among 2,513 adults from Monday through Friday last week and carries an accuracy range of ±2 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.

A different poll carried out by the same polling organization among 1,003 people aged 18 and older on Thursday and Friday showed that support for the governing Democratic Party increased to 56.2%, an increase of 2.4 percentage points compared to the prior week.

Backlash against the primary opposing party, People Power Party, decreased by 4.5 percentage points, reaching 24.3 percent.

The study includes an accuracy range of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
