K-pop Demon Hunters Dominate Billboard Charts in the U.S.

Demon slayers remain active: Netflix's newest worldwide popular animated series "KPop Demon Hunters" continues to perform well on the U.S. Billboard music charts for the third consecutive week.

The official soundtracks from the animated show climbed to number two on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the week beginning July 19, according to a report released by Billboard on Sunday.

The album "KPop Demon Hunters" achieved 75,000 equivalent album units as of July 10, per data from Luminate. It is among just four soundtracks that have secured positions within the top two on the Billboard 200 chart, alongside "Wicked" (2024), "Barbie" (2023), and "Encanto" (2022).

The album, which is now exclusively available as a digital download, is set to release a CD version in August alongside a vinyl edition in October, as reported by Billboard.

The album titled "KPop Demon Hunters" made its debut at position 8 on the Billboard 200 chart right following its worldwide launch on June 20. The "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack features songs like "Take Down" and "Golden" from HUNTR/X, the imaginary female band featured in the movie, along with "Soda Pop" by the competing group Saja Boys.
