Jurassic World 4 Holds Top Spot as Superman Closes In

SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- According to reports released on Monday, "Jurassic World: New Dawn," featuring Scarlett Johansson, continued to lead the weekend film revenue chart for the second week in a row.
As per the Korean Film Council’s box office monitoring system, the film "Jurassic World 4," directed by Gareth Edwards, drew approximately 456,000 viewers between July 11 and 13, capturing a 26.0 percent portion of overall ticket revenue.
The Hollywood superhero movie "Superman" finished in second place, coming out on July 9. It attracted approximately 397,000 audience members throughout that time frame, making up 24.5 percent of the total box office revenue.
The horror movie "Noise," featuring Lee Sun-bin, came in third, attracting around 313,000 spectators and securing an 18.6 percent share of total earnings.
"The F1 Movie" continues its third week in theaters, securing the fourth position with approximately 273,000 visitors (16.8 percent), while the horror mystery film "Ghost Train," featuring actress Joo Hyun-young, came in fifth with 44,000 attendees (2.5 percent).
Produced by Tak Se-woong, "Ghost Train" features YouTuber Da-kyung, portrayed by Joo Hyun-young, who delves into the strange vanishings linked to Gwangnim Station in an effort to increase traffic on her video platform.
The Disney animated movie "How to Train Your Dragon" came in sixth place with 42,000 tickets sold during the weekend, increasing its overall audience count to approximately 1.76 million people.
