HGTV Star Shares Daughter’s Post-Surgery Recovery Update

HGTV star Jasmine Roth has an updated status regarding her daughter, Hazel, who is 5 years old.

TV Insider noted that Roth discussed Hazel's condition after her 2023 pediatric sleep apnea diagnosis during an interview in July 2025 Future of Personal Health She mentioned that Hazel had tonsil and adenoid removal surgery nearly 20 months prior. As per Roth, her daughter has been experiencing improved sleep.

"Zoe is sleeping like a pro! About five to six weeks post-surgery, she finally managed to sleep all night, which meant we also got some restful nights. She doesn’t have any problems; she simply falls asleep, stays asleep throughout the night, and wakes up in the morning—something every parent with a child understands is significant," said Roth during the interview.

She further mentioned to the magazine that she wasn't aware her daughter had pediatric sleep apnea during the time she faced difficulties with sleeping.

"I hadn't realized children could suffer from sleep apnea, so it was completely off my mind. Her difficulties sleeping were an issue we faced ever since she was just six months old. We consulted experts for assistance, but we couldn't find a solution," said Roth to Future of Personal Health.

However, she mentioned that she and her husband, Brett Roth, brought their daughter to an ear, nose, and throat specialist after she began making strange snorting sounds while sleeping, as recommended by her pediatrician when she was three years old.

"The ear, nose, and throat doctor mentioned that her adenoids and tonsils were enlarged, and she might require surgery since she suffered from sleep apnea," said the person. HELP! I Ruined My Home star. "It was the initial time we learned children can suffer from sleep apnea. It seemed quite significant to us, so we decided to undergo a sleep test prior to the operation. The results showed she had moderately severe sleep apnea—she would wake up seven times each hour. Naturally, we proceeded with the surgery, and everything went smoothly! She recovered quickly, and it has made a huge difference for her."

Roth, who also recently welcomed a 10-month-old daughter named Darla, marked Hazel's fifth anniversary in April 2025. On April 22, Instagram upload Roth posted images from Hazel's birthday celebration. As per Roth, Hazel had a particular theme in mind for her gathering.
