A representative from the Department of Justice has indicated that Jill Biden might encounter criminal charges if she was involved in concealing her husband's deteriorating health condition throughout his time as president.

Leo Terrell, who serves as senior counsel to the assistant attorney general in the department’s civil rights division, proposed this idea in a posting on the social media site X.

His remarks follow increasing speculations that former President Biden's undisclosed cancer diagnosis and deteriorating mental capacity were concealed from the public by people close to him during his tenure.

On Sunday, Joe Biden's office revealed that he has been diagnosed with an "aggressive" type of prostate cancer which has spread to his bones.

A statement from his spokesperson indicated that the ex-President received medical care after encountering issues related to urination.

A few people believe that the rapid diagnosis might have been identified earlier if it had been shared publicly.

In response to a thread on X alleging that Jill Biden was aware of her husband's cancer during his presidency, Terrell commented: "This seems like elder abuse! Should there be criminal charges???"

Last year, Joe Biden received a clean bill of health according to his physician, who stated that there were "no new issues" regarding the 46th President’s physical and mental well-being.
