Activists Accuse Labour of Ignoring Parents of Children Affected by Controversial Pregnancy Drug

She stated: "My previous Member of Parliament was SNP member Hannah Bardell, who made an effort to listen and do all she could. However, it seems as though every action taken has been reversed."

The Labour government hasn't done anything for us. They refuse to examine new evidence, and they simply won't hear our concerns.

Marie Lyon , from the Association for Children Harmed by Hormone Pregnancy Tests, participated Primodos in the early stages of her pregnancy with daughter Sarah and has been fighting for justice ever since.

She stated, "I echo Wilma's disappointment with what seems to be an inadequate level of backing from the Labour government." The Labour Member of Parliament for Livingston, Gregor Poynton, has had a meeting with Wilma and is now part of the campaign’s All-Party Parliamentary Group of Members of Parliament.

Primodos was removed from the market in 1978. At that time, approximately 1.5 million women had used it.

Manufacturer Schering, which is now part of Bayer, has refuted any connection.

An independent review conducted in 2020 discovered that healthcare regulators did not adequately protect patients, with Primodos linked to "preventable damage".

Bayer stated: "Bayer holds the view that no substantial new scientific information has emerged challenging the credibility of the earlier findings."
