Liza Minnelli, 79, Steals the Show at "RuPaul's Drag Race" Season 17 Finale

The EGOT-winner added another award to her collection: The Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award

The queen of Broadway was just honored by drag queens!

Liza Minnelli made a guest appearance on the season 17 finale of RuPaul's Drag Race that aired Friday, April 18.

The EGOT-winner, 79, was honored with another award: The Giving Us Lifetime Achievement Award.

Minnelli sat in a throne on the main stage clad in classic black Halston and jewels, and took a trip down memory lane with host RuPaul .

Minnelli exclaimed admiringly at the 64-year-old Emmy-winning host.

"I understand. It just took six hours," RuPaul quipped.

Seven for me," Minnelli responded. "I'm elder than you.

Minnelli remembered how fans would visit the MGM studios to catch sight of her mother, actress Judy Garland, as well as her father, director Vincente Minnelli.

Minnelli’s younger half-brother Joey Luft was present in the crowd as well. Garland notably performed the song “Happiness is a Thing Called Joe.”

Minnelli's appearance preceded the crowning of the season 17 champion.

The four contestants advancing to the finale were Lexi Love, Onya Nurve, Jewels Sparkles, and Sam Star.

In the end, Nurvue was named America's Next Drag Superstar , succeeding Season 16 champion Nymphia Windschant .

Sparkles came in second place, whereas Crystal Envy earned the Miss Congeniality title. After triumphing in the lip-sync battle the previous week, Suzie Toot claimed the crown as Queen of She Done Already Done Had Herses.

RuPaul's Drag Race airs Fridays on MTV.
